Chopin Vodka, filmed for Eater in Poland

Since 1992, Tad Dorda and his family have made potato vodka at Chopin Vodka, in a distillery that has been running since 1896. For Eater’s Vendors series, we followed the whole process, from the potato harvest to distilling and bottling, and showed why it takes about 7 pounds of potatoes to make one bottle.

Eater brought us the story. We handled field production, filming, drone shots and editing, with interviews in Polish translated and subtitled for Eater’s English-speaking audience. Published in October 2024, it is the most-watched film of the series, with more than 1.3 million views on YouTube.

This film is part of a three-film series sponsored by YETI, where the brand’s products appear naturally in the producers’ work. Read the full story of the Eater × YETI series.
